Wolf ears!

Hi!
Last year, I made some wolf ears for a cosplay. I sew them onto a wig because my hair was so short, I couldn't get even the tiniest barrette to stick to my hair.. So now that I've got longer hair, I thought I would cut the ears off of my wig and sew them onto some barrettes. And I did. But my hair is so thin it still won't stay on my freaking head D:

What shall I do? I've thought about using just a lot of hairspray under the barrettes, but my wolf ears will just get ugly and wierd if I do that enough times.. Help!

maybe you could glue the wolf ears to a hairband instead? ^^

My friend made lynx ears and she used a hairband. You might be able to get a very thin hairband so it wouldn't show in your hair?
